The City of Spokane has launched the Neighborhood Business Centers Program (NBC), an innovative economic development initiative.  The NBC program links up with neighborhood business associations in the city to promote the health and vitality of Spokane’s small business districts.  Lively and inviting neighborhood business areas are part of the fabric of strong neighborhoods and a strong city.  On Tuesday, November 22, 6:30 p.m. meet the NBC Team and hear about the interesting projects this program has tackled.  Then meet the neighborhood partners in the upcoming holiday shopping event on December 3, 2005 called “Girls Day Out!”  This discussion is part of the City’s “Spokane Building Blocks” series—citizen education sessions developed by the Planning Services Department.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

*  What is the Neighborhood Business Centers Program?

*  Why are Spokane's neighborhood business centers important?

*  What kind of projects does NBC take on?

*  What is “Girls Day Out”?

*  What special activities are happening in Spokane on Saturday, December 3?
