BACKGROUND
The North Indian Trail Neighborhood Council has agreed to work with the City of Spokane in
a very fast paced planning process for their Neighborhood Center.
This process is intended "clean up" land use and
zoning issues. The Stakeholder Team has used the following as
their criteria to propose changes to the maps for the neighborhood
center
 |
Match Land Use and
Zoning to actual development
|
 |
Make Land Use
compatible with existing Zoning.
|
 |
Eliminate split zoning
by making Land Use and Zoning match construction.
|
 |
Eliminate split zoning
on undeveloped parcels by adopting the predominant
existing Land Use/Zoning.
|
 |
Clean up small slivers
created by boundary mapping errors. |
After a proposal is developed and presented to the neighborhood
at large through the Open House the
proposal will be presented to the Plan Commission. The Plan Commission may
make their own changes to the proposal before they send their "Recommendation"
to City Council for final approval.
The Stakeholder Team has meet on the following dates:
June 20, 2007 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
July 18, 2007 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
August 8, 2007 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
Open House September 11, 2007 beginning at 7:00pm
Below are documents that have been used to guide the process
and help the neighborhood volunteers learn about land use,
