The City's Master Bike
Plan is part of the transportation section of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
The City's Planning Services and Engineering Services departments--along with
the Bicycle Advisory Board--have been working on the bike plan update.
To date, their
work has included creating an inventory of existing bike lanes, routes,
signage, and other facilities. They have also reviewed bicycle
planning ideas from other communities to get ideas for Spokane.
Open Houses:
Tuesday, April 22,
at the Southside Senior Activity Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave., from 6
to 8 p.m.
Thursday, April 24,
at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday, April 29,
at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Below is a link to a
survey that will gather information for the development of the City
of Spokane Master Bike Plan. We would like to hear from residents on
this subject whether or not they currently ride a bicycle. If you
attended the Master Bike Plan Open House and completed a paper
survey, you do not need to take this survey. The survey was
developed by the Spokane Regional Health District in partnership
with the city and the Bicycle Advisory Board.
