Next Steps for LOI NeighborhoodsNow that the Pre-Planning Meetings have come and gone these neighborhoods will be busy getting the word out on the street. Looking for fresh minds and ideas, for people who want to have a voice in the future of their neighborhood. These people will be called Stakeholders and they will be busy communicating with interested neighbors, business owners, land owners, and generally anyone with a vested interest in that neighborhood about what the area should look like in the future. So, if you are one of those people with a vested interest in your neighborhood and you have some time to volunteer, please contact your neighborhood council immediately, the Office of Neighborhood Services can put you in contact with the right people. Even if you just want to know what's going on, give your neighborhood council a call (they'll be happy to hear from you!), or contact the neighborhoods designated staff and we'll point you in the right direction. We look forward to working with you! TimelineAs the Neighborhood Planning staff and resources are very limited we are attempting to keep all neighborhoods in the same phase of planning as this process evolves and goes forward. To this end we have set a goal of having all eleven LOI neighborhoods through Phase I by mid January 2004 and begin Phase II of the Neighborhood Planning Guidebook by the end of January. |
