City Council Public Testimony for the
June 23, 2008 Comprehensive Plan Amendments will be limited to
receiving the results of the Charrette Compromise meeting of Wednesday June
18, 2008 between the neighborhood and the applicants.
Draft Alternative Ordinance:
At least one
City Council member has requested the City Attorney to draft alternative
ordinance language that will support approval of the three Southgate
Comprehensive Plan Amendments (Z2005-113 & 114-LU and Z2006-83-LU).

| The Spokane City
Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 9, 2008
during the regular Legislative Session beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Lower Level of
City Hall, 808 West Spokane Falls Blvd., to receive public testimony
on nine proposed amendments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The
following proposed amendments will be considered at the hearing: |

2005 Amendment Cycle |
| Z2005-113-LU; a Land Use
Amendment, located at 4803 & 4915 South Regal on contiguous parcel
numbers 34032.0004 and 34032.9106. Change of land use plan map
designation from “Residential 4-10” & “15-30” to “CC Core”, and
zoning map designation from “RSF” (Residential Single Family) and
“RMF” (Residential Multi Family) to “CC2-DC”.
A SEPA Mitigated
Determination of Nonsignificance was issued for on August 16, 2007,
pursuant to WAC 197-11-340 and Section 17E.050 of the Spokane
Municipal Code.
Upon 6-1 Roll Call
Vote (Council Member Rush voting "no"), the Spokane City Council
passed Option 2 of Final Reading Ordinance C34256, as amended.
